Kelly Stewart demonstrates at Oxo

Guest artist Kelly Stewart, who has arrived at the Oxo Gallery from Australia via Edinburgh, demonstrates her silkscreen technique to visitors to the gallery.

During the Skylark Galleries group show at Oxo Tower Wharf, which runs from 29 July to 15 August (see previous posts), participating artists are taking part in a series of free talks and demonstrations at the gallery@oxo. Sparkle at Skylark this Christmas

Skylark Galleries are joining with 50 other independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars at Gabriel's Wharf and Oxo Tower Wharf in the South Bank Sparkle, which opens this weekend and runs up to Christmas.

On Saturday 14 November there will be artists at both of the Skylark galleries, demonstrating how they make their work and ready to help visitors find the work of art that will make the perfect Christmas gift. The Skylark Galleries gift vouchers will also be on sale. The Christmas lights will be on, and at 5pm the Lord Mayor's Firework Display takes place, set off from barges in the Thames immediately in front of the wharf - making it the perfect time to visit.

South Bank Sparkle continues from Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm, until Christmas, with many shops staying open late on Thursday evenings. Visit www.coinstreet.org/shopeatdrink for offers, events and competitions.
